Monthly Prizes are sponsored by PickStormm (“Sponsor”). You can reach the Sponsor through the Support page or at pickstorm@gmail.com.

Who can take part

Monthly Prizes are open only to legal residents of the United States who are 18 or older and who have a PickStormm account in good standing. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

• Employees of the Sponsor, and the members of their households, are not eligible.
• Accounts with staff or administrator access to PickStormm are not eligible.
• One account per person. Anyone who uses more than one account is not eligible.

How to take part

There is no separate entry. If you are eligible, you take part automatically by making picks on the daily pick board during a prize month. You need a completed profile to make picks. Picks lock when the game starts, and you can have one pick in play at a time: once it is graded, you can make your next one.

Playing is free. No purchase or payment is needed to take part or to win, and paying for anything will not improve your chances.

Prize months

A prize month is a calendar month measured in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). It starts at 00:00 UTC on the 1st and ends at 00:00 UTC on the 1st of the following month. A pick counts toward the prize month in which it is graded.

A month has a prize only if one is shown in the PickStormm app for that month, on the streak board, the leaderboard and the prize screen. The Sponsor may choose not to offer a prize in any month.

How winners are decided

Your monthly win streak is the longest run of correct picks in a row you make during the prize month. Each correct pick adds one to your current run, and an incorrect pick ends it. A void pick, for example on a question whose result was not one of the offered options, does not count and does not end your run. Everyone's run starts from zero at the beginning of each prize month. Picks are graded from the final results reported by our sports data provider.

Players are ranked on the monthly streak leaderboard by:

1. Longest win streak during the prize month, highest first.
2. If tied on that, the total number of correct picks during the prize month, most first.

The prize shows how many players win, from 1 to 10. When the prize month ends, its standings are frozen as they stand at 00:00 UTC on the 1st of the following month and recorded soon after. The players in that many top places of the frozen standings win. Anyone who isn't eligible is passed over, and the prize goes to the next eligible player in the standings.

Ties

If players are still tied after both tie-breakers above (the same longest win streak and the same number of correct picks), the Sponsor decides the tie at its discretion in a fair and consistent manner.

Prizes

The prize for each prize month, its description, its value where one is given, and the number of winners are shown in the app for that month. Each winner receives the prize described. Once a prize month has started, its prize, value and number of winners don't change.

Prizes can't be transferred or exchanged. If a prize becomes unavailable, the Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.

Winner notification and claiming

• Winners are contacted by email, at the address on their PickStormm account, normally within the first week of the following month.
• Winners are also listed by username on the prize screen in the app.
• A winner must reply within 30 days of that email to claim their prize, and provide the information asked for.
• A prize that isn't claimed in time, or can't be delivered because the winner didn't provide the information needed, is forfeited. The Sponsor may, at its discretion, award a forfeited prize to the next eligible player in the standings.

Taxes and verification

Winners are responsible for any taxes on their prizes. To receive a prize, a winner may need to confirm their eligibility and provide identity details, such as their legal name, date of birth and mailing address, and tax information where the law requires it. If a winner can't be verified as eligible, the prize is forfeited.

Disqualification

The Sponsor may disqualify a player, and withhold or reclaim a prize, if the player:

• is not eligible,
• uses more than one account or shares an account,
• cheats, uses bots or automated tools, colludes with others, or manipulates picks or leaderboards,
• gives false information, or
• breaks the Terms of Use or the Community Guidelines.

General conditions

• The Sponsor's decisions on all matters relating to Monthly Prizes are final.
• If fraud, technical failures or other causes outside the Sponsor's control affect the fair running of a prize month, the Sponsor may cancel, suspend or change it. Where that happens, the Sponsor may award prizes based on the standings before the problem occurred, where that is fair.
• To the extent allowed by applicable law, the Sponsor is not responsible for incorrect or late data from sports data providers, or for network, device or service failures.
• To the extent allowed by applicable law, winners release the Sponsor from liability for any loss or injury arising from accepting or using a prize.
• Monthly Prizes are subject to applicable law.

Privacy

Information collected for Monthly Prizes is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. We use a winner's contact and identity details only to confirm eligibility and deliver the prize. Winners' usernames are shown on the prize screen in the app.
